Expert Landscape Installation in Tucson, AZ

Landscape installation in Tucson starts with understanding what the Sonoran Desert throws at a yard. Tucson soils are often alkaline and laced with caliche hardpan, which blocks root growth and traps water in the wrong places. Summer temperatures regularly exceed 100°F, and the city receives only about 12 inches of rain per year, most of it during monsoon season. A yard that ignores these conditions fails fast. At Wolfberry Landscaping, we plan every installation around these realities. We assess your soil, grade for drainage, and select plants matched to Tucson's heat and water limits. We install drip irrigation routed to root zones so water goes where plants need it. Hardscape elements like decomposed granite, pavers, and rock mulch tie the space together while cutting down on maintenance. Whether you are starting from bare dirt or replacing a yard that never worked, we build landscapes that hold up season after season. Call us to schedule a site visit and get a clear plan for your Tucson property.

Landscape Installation FAQ

Common questions about landscape installation in Tucson, AZ.

Yes, we handle full landscape installations on bare or undeveloped Tucson lots. We cover site prep, soil work, planting, irrigation, and hardscape from start to finish.

Caliche hardpan can block drainage and prevent roots from going deep, so we address it during site prep. Breaking through or routing around caliche layers is a standard part of how we install Tucson landscapes.

We select desert-adapted and native plants suited to Tucson's heat, alkaline soils, and low annual rainfall. These plants establish well and need far less water than non-adapted species once they are in the ground.

We grade and drain each yard to handle the heavy, fast rainfall that Tucson monsoons bring. Proper drainage prevents erosion, pooling, and plant loss when storms hit.

Yes, we remove existing material and install a new desert-adapted landscape in its place. Many Tucson homeowners switch from water-heavy yards to low-water designs that fit the climate better.

We install drip irrigation as part of most landscape projects in Tucson. Drip systems deliver water directly to root zones, which is the most efficient method in a desert climate.

Worked with us?

Our backyard needed regrading & better drainage. Jacob provided a great drainage solution, a timely quote, and worked with us to add onto our project. While scheduling was busy for the spring, we were squeezed in before the heat to properly grow our yard from seed. His guys did a lot of work in 2 days: rebuilt a poorly constructed retaining wall, added catch basin, framed the back garden bed, planted a tree, & graded/seeded the lawn. After the late May rain, we have a green lawn & are very happy with the work that was done. Great communication through the entire process. Highly recommend!

I can't recommend them enough! It was smooth sailing from start to finish. The initial contractors I hired were absolutely terrible, very long story for a different rating, but I wouldn't even let them finish the job. I found Wolf Pack and they saved the dumpster fire that the other company ignited in my yard. Very high quality of work, easy to work with, ahead of schedule, always available to answer my many questions, just all around a great experience

Our retaining wall and stairs desperately needed repair. Jacob was easy to work with and communicated with me throughout the entire process. They got everything done faster than I anticipated. We couldn’t be happier. *no landscaping was added per my request. I wanted to do that myself. Jacob did offer to come help me plan what to put in using a mockup on his tablet.

By far, exceeded our expectations. Execution and clean up were outstanding. We’ll be using Wolf Pack for all of our landscape endeavors.

Wolfpack was able to give me an estimate and complete work within a week to get my garden beds cleaned up from a summer of letting the weeds take control. They were very attentive to my flowers, will be having them come back next year.
